Hair Loss on Keto

If you don't eat enough high quality food, you could lose your hair due to lack of nutrients.

Hair, nails and energy levels are really good indicators to know that you are getting enough nutrients.

You need to make sure the food you are eating has enough nutrients.  Our bodies have nutrient requirements.

Make sure you have enough protein. If you don't, you'll probably lose hair. Up to 4-5oz per meal if you aren't doing so already.

When you're going through keto adaptation and you're adapting to fat, you need more B vitamins and minerals like potassium. If you aren't consuming the extra supplements or getting in your 7-10 cups of vegetables each day then that's a very good reason you could be losing your hair.

You end up eating less because you're not hungry but you need to eat at least once a day and hit those requirements.

Don't eat if you aren't hungry, yes but only to a degree. You still need nutrition each day.

If you have low stomach acid and you can't digest protein that your hair needs, that could be another reason..  Signs you don't have enough acid is heartburn, indigestion, bloating and gas.

Hope this helps!
